What Adaptation Covers

Review

  • We review the theme JavaScript, interactive components, plugin behavior, navigation, forms, third-party scripts, analytics, styles, page-specific assets, and other functionality affected by InstantPress navigation.

Adapt

  • We update functionality that assumes a traditional page load. This can include script initialization and cleanup, page-specific resources, navigation state, and other site-specific behavior.

Test

  • We verify key templates, interactions, forms, plugins, analytics, browser history, direct page loads, mobile behavior, and fallbacks.
  • The work depends on the site. Straightforward implementations may need relatively little adaptation. JavaScript-heavy or highly customized sites will require more.
  • If we uncover something that needs to change within InstantPress itself, we handle that too.

Every Site Is Different

Here are answers to the questions that usually come next.

Compatibility

InstantPress is designed to adapt to existing WordPress frontends rather than require a specific theme or development approach. Compatibility depends on how the individual site handles frontend behavior, which is why every implementation begins with a review.

The existing theme stays in place. Custom JavaScript and other functionality that assumes a traditional page load may need to be adapted for InstantPress navigation.

They stay in WordPress. Frontend behavior such as forms, analytics, interactive plugins, embeds, and third-party scripts may require compatibility work and are reviewed during adaptation.

No. Content stays in WordPress and the existing editorial workflow remains in place. InstantPress changes how visitors navigate the site, not how content is managed.

No. The existing WordPress site remains the application. InstantPress doesn't require a separately hosted frontend or headless infrastructure.

How InstantPress Behaves

No. Preparation can significantly improve performance, but InstantPress doesn't depend on every destination being fully prepared before the visitor clicks.

InstantPress falls back to normal browser navigation rather than leaving the visitor with a broken transition.

Working With Us

It depends on the site. Straightforward implementations may require relatively little compatibility work, while JavaScript-heavy or highly customized sites can require more. We review the implementation before determining the scope.

We handle it. Early implementations also help us identify cases where InstantPress itself needs to accommodate behavior we haven't encountered before.

During early access, we work directly with agency partners to review, adapt, and test the first implementation. You won't be handed the software and left to work through compatibility on your own.

Yes. InstantPress is being built for agencies to use across client sites. Licensing and rollout are handled as part of agency access.

InstantPress is currently available through early agency access rather than general self-service licensing. We'll discuss licensing and rollout as part of the initial conversation.

Pricing depends on the agency arrangement and implementation requirements. We'll discuss the site and intended use before determining scope and pricing.
